It takes a while getting used to it, but it's very useful. Great for multiple uses, from whisking to ice crushing for a nice mojito.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blender is very easy to use and and clean. The glass jug is sturdy and feels well made compared to plastic counterparts. The suction cups provide a solid base with no noticeable movement from the fixed position.

I also as rest pleased at how easy it is to dismantle the blades etc from the jar so that it can get a good clean. Also happy with the sound level of the blender. Not too noisy so I can manage to make some morning smoothies while the little ones are still sleeping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this blender for a few weeks now and so can definitely confirm it is a great addition to our new kitchen. Our old blender was not fit for purpose anymore and also as the jar of our old blender was plastic so it was discoloured from use and not something we would want out on the side of our kitchen. The glass jug of this blender ensures this is not an issue in the future and as this is dishwasher safe, along with the other parts of the blender, this makes clean up easy and it should not discolour. The spout on the top of the jug is a great feature as it allows you to add extra ingredients or water to the mix as it is blending also using the measuring tub which doubles as the spout lid. It is very powerful using the 3 speed options or the pulse option and I have used this to blend many ingredients including ice and there was no issues with it. Overall we are very happy with this blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is well made, good value and works well. The glass jug is tough and basically means you can blend pretty much any food/drink in it. Since getting the blender I have used it each morning to make a smoothie - this contains frozen fruit and berries, which over time had scratched the jug of my old blender as it was plastic (plus it makes you wonder if bits of plastic end up in the smoothie...). This blender's jug still looks as good as new and it manages to completely blend the frozen fruits each time. The controls are easy to use and having the pulse setting really helps to make sure you can get all the parts blended well. One of the best features is that you can separate the jug and blade section so that it can all go in the dishwasher - nice and easy! It's good and powerful, not too loud, and easy to take care of - so far it's been used every day for smoothies, plus we've made soups, milkshakes, crushed ice and made yorkshire pudding batter. Couldn't ask for more really - it works well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing blender I love that it’s not bulky and it has suction cups underneath to stop it moving when blending, it’s quick and so easy to use, I just chuck in some fruit a little bit of juice and I can make a yummy smoothie in less than a few minutes, I can even makes soup in it I also love that it can crush ice so I can have a nice cold smoothie or milkshake which I love making in it, it’s not very loud and it really blends items quickly so no need to keep chopping fruit or veg small It’s very easy to clean and it’s a fantastic product which I use everyday

You can make the best smoothies and cocktails since you can just add all the ingredients and the ice together. It’s great for making soup as well or even pasta sauce. No need to chop up your fruits and veggies therefore everything is super quick to make. Great quiality product, sturdy and very efficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] having been through a few blenders now, I have already found that this has to be the best one I have used, it is somehow quieter than the others, and has a larger capacity so I can make double the portions of what I am used to. Looks great and is just as easy to use. Cleans very easily and I have not found anything that the Philips Series 5000 Blender cannot blend. Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is fabulous for making smoothies, milkshakes and frappes, I love the fact you can put ice cubes directly into the blender. It is powerful and easy to use, very high quality. A little large and on the loud side but for the power it brings this is totally acceptable. Easy to clean, strong jug. Perfect for also making soups. Overall a great product, very powerful and produces super smooth results.
